This is the original two-page text of the fatwa (religious declaration) dethroning Sultan Abdulhamid II, written by Sheikhulislam Mehmed Ziyauddin Efendi on 13 April 1325/AD 1907. This fatwa was published ... in the Ottoman Printing House 1329/1911 edition, dated July 10, 1324, 29 teşin-i evvel, in the first volume of the second edition of the Düstur, on page 166. The fatwa in question, written by Sheikhulislam Mehmed Ziyauddin Efendi, has documentary value as it is the original in his hand writing.
